Bob Marley in Rajasthan

1945-1981

Sun is burning, weather is unsweet

Make you want to steady your dancing feet

It's 6th February and it marks the birthday of Legend Bob Marley, through his music he has taught to be bold, to have your own opinion, to be optimistic, to carry your own voice your own echo and we the lover of his music following his teaching like obedient disciples.

Since it's his birth anniversary and he would have been 74 if he was physically alive today. I am paying my tribute to the legend in his own way and at the moment I only wish if he was alive he would have enjoyed my idea.

OK, before move further I have a question have you heard Sun is Shining by Bob Marley? Do you remember the lyrics? If yes you can skip to the next section and if not then don't worry I am posting here the video of the song feel free to listen and groove with it, and yes don't forget to read the lyrics at least for once!

OK, now you are ready to go through my version! Yes, imagine Bob Marley is on a visit to Rajasthan. Rajasthan, which is famous for its extreme climate. The place where the summer can roast you to hell especially you are in North or West Rajasthan (Shekhawati Region or Thar Desert respectively) and now if you ask Bob Marley to write down a song on his travel experiences of Rajasthan. Just imagine what would he have written then? Still didn't get the thing? OK not to worry here I am to ease the things. If he was ever asked to do so I probably feel he would have come with this version of his iconic "Sun is Shining". Disclaimer, if you can sing then sing the lyrics with the beat!

Sun is burning, the weather is unsweet
Make you want to steady your dancing feet
To the rescue, here I am
Want you to know ya, where I stand
(Monday morning)
here I am
Want you to know just if you can
(Tuesday evening)
Where I stand
(Wednesday morning)
tell myself dust-rising winds is blowing
(Thursday evening)
get on the set a dust storm is arriving
(Friday morning)
here I am
(Saturday evening)
want you to know just
Want you to know just where I stand
When the morning gathers the dust storm
Want you to know I'm a dust storm too
So, to the rescue here I am
Want you to know just if you can
Where I stand,
know, know, know, know, know, know, know
We'll lift our heads and ask for mercy
We'll lift our heads and ask for mercy, yeah-eh
Sun is burning, the weather is unsweet now
Make you want to steady your dancing feet
To the rescue, here I am
Want you to know just if you can
Where I stand,
know, know, know, where I stand
Monday morning, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Tuesday evening, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Wednesday morning, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Thursday evening, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Friday morning, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Saturday evening, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
So to the rescue, to the rescue, to the rescue, alright
Stay safe in your home this summer,
Today could be another scorcher
Sun is burning and the weather is unsweet
Sun is burning and the weather is unsweet
Sun is burning and the weather is unsweet
Sun is burning and the weather is unsweet

At this point, I only wish if he was alive and with us today physically (I am saying physically because he is with us and will be!), he would have loved the idea maybe? It would have been a great feeling if I got to hear from him about this (Oh, the imagination - damn thing!). Anyways, did you like it? Why don't you consider to applause for it? So, that I could hear you all!
